Our Goals
The International Collaborative for Science, Education, and the Environment has projects on three continents: Africa, North America and Europe. Below are our goals for the regions in which we work.
Goals for our work in Africa
- Develop science, environmental, and general education for citizens and students at all levels.
- Improve the opportunities for women and girls to develop their communities and families and to learn and work in science and technology.
- Promote environmental activism among all local residents and help them create and participate in effective organizations.
- Provide resources and experienced help for projects that will renew and protect valued natural areas and resources.
- Provide investment and assistance for the development of women's small enterprises.
- Promote appropriate technological development and computer access and utilization where needed for development and communications.
Goals for our work in The United States
- Improve schooling and educational opportunities by providing in-service training in the sciences and technology for teachers and for organizers of alternative educational programs
- Enlarge opportunities in the sciences and technology for urban youth through after-school enrichment programs in science and technology
- Strengthen the environmental movement among religious organizations through consulting in education and program development.
Goals for our work in the Caribbean
- Support sustainable development in Grenada through a broad range of educational initiatives, formal and informal, school and community based.
Goals for our work in Europe
- Strengthen and support progressive actions by religious organizations in Eastern Europe which work for conservation and environmental protection and use environmentalism as a progressive unifying force in the region.
